Travel Information

Shuttle from Sea-Tac Airport & Seattle to Ellensburg
The Seattle airport (SEA) is accessible via 26 different airlines. You can use the Bellaire Shuttle to travel back and forth between the Seattle airport and Ellensburg. airport.
Contact us about your travel plans and we will make every effort to group attendees together for the Bellaire shuttle and greet you at the Starbucks in Ellensburg when you arrive. We want you to feel as safe and comfortable as possible.

Directions From Seattle/SeaTac Airport to CWU
Travel east on I-90.
Take the Ellensburg/Central Washington University exit.
Continue straight ahead through the 4-way stop (past Perkins, Dairy Queen, etc.) on Cascade Way.
Cascade Way will become University Way.
At the Intersection of University Way and D Street turn left (north).
Continue past 11th Ave., Dean Hall will be on your right, directly north of the Science Building.
Registration will in the Munson Vantage Room.

Directions From Spokane and East of CWU
Travel west on I-90 towards Ellensburg.
Take Canyon Road Exit. Go right (north).
At the intersection of University Way and Main (Canyon) turn right onto University Way.
At the Intersection of University Way and D Street turn right (north).
Continue past 11th Ave., Dean Hall will be on your right, directly north of the Science Building.
Registration will in the Munson Vantage Room.

 Housing

PLEASE NOTE: It is very important to Strings Without Boundaries as well as both universities to create a safe environment for all of its participants. RA’s will be provided by SWB for minors staying in the dorms.

Participants will be housed in a new dorm across the street from the music building. Each suite offers four private bedrooms that share a common room, kitchenette, and bathroom. There are also a limited number of rooms available that can be converted into private accommodations or shared with a friend or spouse for an additional charge. This is a room with two twin beds and a private bath. See CWU registration.

Wendell Hill Hall is located on the corner of Dean Nicholson Boulevard and Alder Street. Wendell Hill Hall, is a 476-bed complex, with 228 beds in building A and 248 beds in building B.

Housing in Wendell Hill dorm includes sheets with pillowcase and pillow, blanket, and towel. Each suite offers four bedrooms that share a common room, kitchenette, and bathroom.  All suites are air-conditioned have private bathrooms.

Each floor has a lounge with plenty of furniture and large flat screen TVs. Wireless Internet is available also.

Parking and Internet:
There is a $5/day parking permit fee and a one-time $15 Internet set-up fee for Central Washington University. Parking permits can be purchased individually from electronic kiosks located in the parking lots as they are needed.  These kiosks accept debit, credit, cash, and change. The permits are $5.00 per 24 hours.
