Entrance Requirements

  • Students of all ages are welcome, but an intermediate level of proficiency is required.
  • All participants should be able to read music fluently. You should have a minimum of three or four years of study on your instrument
  • Violinists and  violists should be roughly at a minimum level of Suzuki Book 4. They should be able to play comfortably in first and third positions.
  • Cellists should be able to play comfortably in first and fourth positions.

Fees and Payment

  • Tuition for 2008 is $425
  • Tuition with three graduate credits is $990.
  • $100 is due with registration. The balance is due on or before July 16, 2007

Meals

  • For commuters, the dining rooms at the Student Union Building will be open for lunch and dinner. Starbucks, and Subway in the same building will also be open.

Dormitory Accommodations

  • Supervised dormitory accommodations with meals included will be available at the Duquesne University dormitories.
  • The minimum age for dormitory residents is 13.

Parking

  • For local commuters or participants who will be driving to the workshop, on-campus parking is available. Please contact Stephen Benham at benham@duq.edu for information on purchasing a parking pass.
